Educated in both European and American Art Schools, I am an accomplished artist known for a lifelong dedication to fine art and portraiture.
My canine watercolors have been commissioned by the American Kennel Club, the nation’s largest registry of purebred dogs. After the thorough expert evaluations of 154 original watercolors, this AKC poster was published repeatedly and distributed to hundreds of thousands of veterinary clinics and private collectors.
Inspired by worldwide travel and studies of the old masters, I blend classical techniques with contemporary methods of expression. Each original portrait, whether a milestone birthday, family legacy, beloved pet, or business founder tribute begins with a personal story. My goal is to merge heritage and emotion, capturing meaningful stories (sometimes witty) into works of art.
It is a hybrid approach where I use traditional craftsmanship to achieve composition, color and imagery integrity, while utilizing modern approaches that prioritize personal emotions, individual freedom, experimentation, and new digital media.
